How To Survive College?

If you are a second semester freshman; LISTEN UP!

Now is an essential time to review the events of your first semester and learn from the things you may or may not have done so well. It's important to reflect on your past so that you don't make the same mistakes twice.

Step one: you need to know why you're in college in the first place. If you have no motivation to be here, you won't get your work done, and you won't succeed.

Trust me, it's worth getting your homework done WAY before it's due. Not only does this give you more free time to enjoy your college life and hang out with friends, but it takes the pressure off of your shoulders, and your grades will thank you. Protip: put that shit in your phone. Making use of the reminder app is so beneficial, and it will keep your schedule in check.

Another tip to get through this academic hell is to utilize group studying. You can learn a lot from your classmates who have different takes on information than you. Surround yourself with others, and they might be able to answer any pressing questions you may have about the subject at hand.

Everyone is stressed. All of the time. We know. Take some time to breathe and really calm yourself down. Coping with college can be as easy and going to your weekly meditation session on campus, or doodling to your heart's content between classes. Your campus may also offer free counseling, and even if there aren't professional therapists, you can always speak with your advisers and instructors.
